Well, here’s the deal with the registry:
Shannon and I have enough stuff. We lived on our own for several years before we got married, and really have no need for a new toaster (although, a new toaster wouldn’t be half bad).
So, our thought was to go the nontraditional method and do a honeymoon registry. It is a pretty straight forward process. We set up a honeymoon registry through HoneyFund.com and planned our entire two-week trip in Costa Rica.
If you want to get us something for our wedding, you choose an item off of our honeymoon registry and purchase it for us. It could be a portion of our plane tickets, breakfast on the beach, our bus passes, a hotel room for night – whatever you see on the registry that you’d like to purchase. Then, you have two options:
A) You can pay for the item immediately via PayPal, which goes directly to my honeymoon fund in my PayPal account
or
B) You can print off the certificate showing what you purchased and send the money for that item via check or cash to our home or bring it to the wedding.
Since it is a nontraditional registry, it tends to make some people uncomfortable – but just think – you’re paying for our honeymoon! When we are out enjoying a canopy tour that you purchased for us – we will think of you. You’re buying us memories that will last us the rest of our lives together.
Isn’t that grand? So check out our registry!
